An agronomist, Jean-Christophe Debar started his career as an agro-economist at the Embassy of the United States in France. He has been a consultant in international farm policy and agricultural economics, and the editor of Agri US Analyse, a monthly newsletter on US agriculture. Since 2011, he has been the director of the Foundation for World Agriculture and Rurality (FARM), based in Paris, whose mission is to promote productive and sustainable agricultures and food value chains in developing countries.
