Bernard Devert founded the “Habitat et Humanisme” movement which aims at building homes to develop social diversity and social cohesion. The project, especially targeting the most vulnerable, is based on solidarity finance, created not with the aim to repair but to liberate from the two following economic constraints: financialization and short-termism. This method goes against Montaigne’s words: "one person’s profit is another person’s loss".
