Emilie Poisson is the Executive Director of Convergences, the first platform for thought, advocacy and mobilization in Europe that aims at building new convergences between private, and solidarity-based actors but also media and academics involved in sustainable development in order to promote a “Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon and Zero Poverty” world.
Convergences promotes Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the fight against poverty, exclusion and climate change in developed countries as well as in the developing countries.
Through a network of more than 240 partner organisations working in different fields, Convergences seeks to engage with various stakeholders in order to debate ideas and spark action, to disseminate good practices and to promote co-construction approaches with the aim of creating high impact and innovative partnerships.
After 8 years spent in the field in various countries across Africa with the NGO ACTED, as Africa Regional Director, in charge of external relations and advocacy and previously Country Director in Chad and in South Sudan, Emilie Poisson joined Convergences as Executive Director in March 2016.
