I am the Executive Director of an NGO named COAST. COAST (www.coastbd.net) is working for coastal poor and in small islands in Bangladesh. This NGO leads campaigns and is engaged in advocacy in local, national and international level through EquityBD (www.equitybd.net), a program component of COAST, on climate justice, tax justice, trade justice, democratization in political parties, civil society development effectiveness and on equity and dignity based partnership for southern NGOs. COAST has got two time certifications on quality management and accountability from HAP International which is now CHS Alliance (www.chsallience.org), Geneva. COAST has also got special consultative status with UN ECOSOC. I am also a founding member and Treasurer of the newly formed southern NGO network NEAR (Network for Empowering AId Response) www.near.ngo based in ADESO Nairobi, Kenya. I believe on human rights, internationalism, equality, justice and democratic principles.
